Assertion:
“Two wrongs don’t make a right.”
Rebuttal:
“Yeah, but three lefts do!” 🙂
Consider the Following:
“People can rationalize anything if they have no standards for judging right & wrong. We can always prove that we are right.” ~ LASB (NLT) footnotes
Before Damage is Done, Ask Yourself:
1. Is my plan congruent with universal standards of right & wrong?
2. Is my plan in alignment with my personal standards (i.e., can you look at yourself in the mirror)?
3. Is my plan compatible with the standards established by my organization?
4. Will my plan even work in the real world?
5. What would my Momma say?
Ideal Scenario: Turn Right the First Time*
*What do I use as my guide?
True North? Magnetic North? Celestial Navigation? GPS? Google Maps? Waze? Siri? OnStar?
Look up. See where you are at. Use all the the tools at your disposal. Consider the value of redundancy.
Do not neglect to calibrate & follow your Moral Compass along the way.
Recalibrate at regular intervals & as often as necessary.
Otherwise, you run the risk of wasting precious time, needlessly exhausting energy, embarrassing yourself, &/or getting fussed at by petulant backseat drivers.
